On a recent episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden, actress Storm Reid shared some interesting stories about her life and her experiences on the show.
Reid, who is currently a sophomore at USC, revealed that she was supposed to be starting her first day back at college on the day of the show. However, she couldn’t resist the opportunity to hang out with the talk show host instead.
She explained that she has a special relationship with the show because her sister used to work in the office. So, she would often visit the set, do her homework, and enjoy the snacks. “They liked me, I guess,” she said jokingly.
During the interview, Reid described her teenage years as a “human mullet.” She was a good student but also enjoyed partying on weekends with a measured amount of naughtiness. She shared a funny story about getting caught by her stepfather and brother at a party when she was just 14 years old.
Moving on to her personal life, Reid revealed that she is newly engaged and has moved to Australia. She met her fiancé on a National Geographic expedition to Antarctica, which she jokingly referred to as not meeting a penguin. They hit it off, and he invited her to visit him in Australia. Reid ended up staying there during the lockdown and fell in love with the country.
When it comes to thrilling experiences, Reid shared a photo of herself skydiving. She said that she had always wanted to do it for her 16th birthday but had to wait until she turned 18 due to legal restrictions. Finally, on her 19th birthday, she convinced her friends and family to join her in jumping out of planes. She described it as the best thing she has ever done and encouraged everyone to try it.
Switching gears to her movie career, Reid talked about her latest film, “Missing.” She plays the role of June, a stubborn teenage girl who uses technology and social media to find her missing mother in Colombia. The unique aspect of the film is that it is shot entirely on various devices such as computers, watches, and telephones. Reid even shot some of the scenes herself.
Despite the challenges of shooting on different devices, Reid said that it was a lot of fun once she got used to it. She joked that she should at least get a Director of Photography credit for her efforts.
Overall, Storm Reid‘s appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden was lively and entertaining. From sharing funny stories to discussing her engagement and skydiving adventure, Reid proved to be a charismatic guest. With her impressive acting skills and exciting projects, it’s clear that this young actress has a bright future ahead of her.
