On a recent episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the hilarious comedian Tig Notaro made an appearance to discuss her new podcast, Handsome. As always, the conversation was filled with laughs and playful banter between Stephen and Tig.

Tig started off by jokingly expressing her annoyance towards Stephen for starting his own podcast with three handsome co-hosts, just a few weeks after she launched hers. The audience erupted with laughter as Tig playfully called out Stephen for his “bull.”

They then delved into the origins of Tig’s podcast, Handsome, which she hosts with her comedian friends Fortune Feimster and Mae Martin. Tig explained that the name “handsome” was chosen because they wanted to have a ridiculous time, and the word “handsome” can be used to describe anyone or anything striking or appealing.

As Thanksgiving was approaching, Stephen asked Tig about her thoughts on the holiday. Tig revealed that Thanksgiving is hands down her favorite holiday because she loves spending time with friends and family. Of course, she couldn’t resist teasing Stephen about their supposed tradition of spending Thanksgiving together.

The conversation took a delicious turn when Tig brought out her homemade vegan spice mix. She explained that she created it when her family transitioned to a vegan lifestyle, and it became a hit among her friends. Tig jokingly referred to it as “Dyke Dust” due to its ability to “turn you gay.” Stephen, intrigued, decided to taste it and found it nutty and crunchy, enjoying the unique flavors.

However, Stephen and Tig realized that “Dyke Dust” might not be the best name for marketing purposes. They brainstormed alternative names, including “Tig Sprinkles” and “LGBT No You Want Some.” Eventually, they settled on “I Can’t Believe It’s Nataro,” a clever play on words.

The conversation then shifted to Tig’s tour, the “Hello Again Tour.” Stephen asked if she ever takes her twin sons, who are seven years old, on tour with her. Tig revealed that although they occasionally join her when she performs in their area, they have their own lives and are usually in school. She then shared a humorous anecdote about bringing her sons to a vegan charity event, where they ended up heckling her from the audience.

Tig also mentioned that her sons provide her with comedic inspiration. Max, one of her sons, is into jokes, words, and writing songs and commercials. Tig recounted a funny moment when Max corrected her by saying, “You mean ‘Oh my gourd, pumpkins are gourds?'” It’s clear that Tig’s kids are just as witty as their mother.

As the interview came to a close, Stephen thanked Tig for her always entertaining presence on the show. He encouraged viewers to check out Tig’s upcoming tour dates on her website, tigotaro.com, and to listen to the podcast Handsome, available on all major podcast platforms.

Tig Notaro‘s appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was yet another memorable and laughter-filled segment. It’s no wonder why fans eagerly anticipate her every appearance on talk shows, as she always brings her unique brand of humor and charm.
