On a recent episode of The Ellen Degeneres Show, Ellen and her wife Portia played a hilarious game called “Okay, Genius”. This game is a part of the show’s popular segment called Game Night Club, where celebrities come on the show to play various games and have fun.
Ellen started off by mentioning that the game came in their season’s game night box and described it as a fun game to play. She then jokingly referred to Portia as a genius and herself as just “OK”. The couple decided to test their compatibility by playing the game together.
The first question Ellen asked was, “How many awards should you win before getting yourself a trophy case?” Ellen admitted that it was a difficult question to answer since she doesn’t have a trophy case but a lot of awards. Portia confidently wrote down a number while Ellen joked that she wouldn’t be getting a trophy case and instead used her SAG award as a toilet paper holder!
Moving on, Ellen asked Portia a question about skyscrapers. She asked, “What floor of a skyscraper is too high to live on?” Portia hesitated but eventually settled on a number, while Ellen revealed that anything above the eighth floor is too high for her due to her fear of heights.
The next question revolved around emergency underground bunkers. Ellen asked, “How many people should be able to fit into your emergency underground bunker?” The couple jokingly discussed including animals and horses in the count. However, Portia guessed the wrong number, narrowing down their friends to just two people who could fit in the bunker.
Ellen then asked Portia about chewing gum. She inquired, “How many pieces of gum will you chew for the rest of your life?” Portia responded that she no longer chews gum, but Ellen mentioned that she still chews it while working. They both laughed and settled on a number, amazed at the high count of 200.
The next question took a more moral turn. Ellen asked, “When finding money on the floor, what’s the dollar amount that changes from finders keepers to I’ll see if I can find the owner first?” Portia confidently guessed the right amount, showing her character and moral compass.
Lastly, Ellen asked a question related to real estate. She asked, “Owning how many buildings makes someone officially a real estate mogul?” Portia underestimated the number while Ellen revealed that they currently own ten buildings, making them quite the real estate moguls.
The game ended on a fun note, leaving the audience entertained and wanting more. The chemistry and humor between Ellen and Portia made the entire segment a joy to watch.
