In a recent episode of The Ellen Degeneres Show, Ellen challenged her audience members to play a game that she claimed to be the most difficult game on daytime television. The game, called “Guess the Headline”, involved Ellen reading out headlines from different sources, namely the Tabloid newspaper The Weekly World News and their own writer’s imaginations. The contestants had to determine whether the headline was from the Weekly World News (news) or made up by the show (not news).

The first contestant, Arlene from Hawaii, works in Eternal real estate as a memorial counselor for a cemetery. Although she admitted to not reading the Weekly World News, Arlene proved to be quite successful in the game. She effortlessly guessed headlines like “Who’s the idiot who allowed these two sickos to adopt cute ape baby?” as news and “IRS” as not news. Arlene‘s witty banter and sense of humor about her morbid profession had the audience in stitches.

Next up was Lois from Nova Scotia, Canada, who retired after spending years as a high school and junior high school teacher. Despite not reading the Weekly World News, Lois impressed everyone with her quick-fire answers. She correctly identified headlines such as “Humans don’t need to sleep at all” as news and “Loch Ness Monster and Ellen DeGeneres share a birthday” as not news. Lois, with her charm and hospitable nature, even invited Ellen to visit her in beautiful Nova Scotia.

The last contestant, Molly from LA, works as an office assistant at the Woodland Hills Country Club. Although she admitted to not reading the Weekly World News, Molly confidently tackled the game. She correctly guessed headlines like “Mermaid caught” as news and “Chimp arrested for reckless driving” as not news. Molly‘s enthusiasm and shout-out to her colleagues at the country club added to the liveliness of the segment.

The entertaining game ended with each contestant winning a fantastic prize. Arlene won a Game Boy Advance SP and a Game Boy game, Lois won a Roomba Pro Elite robotic floor vacuum, and Molly won an Eatenego 4000 plus CD MP3 AM/FM travel clock radio.

Ellen proved once again why her show is a hit, keeping the audience engaged and entertained with her witty banter and knack for hosting interactive games. The segment showcased the lively and humorous side of The Ellen Degeneres Show, leaving the viewers eagerly awaiting the next innovative game or challenge on the popular talk show.
