Last night, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, there was no shortage of entertaining moments. As the Democratic National Convention kicked off, President Biden was set to deliver the primetime speech. However, in an odd twist, he didn’t take the stage until 11:30. While the rest of the country was asleep, Biden was wide awake, addressing the crowd. It must have been a bitter pill to swallow for Biden, being at the convention after dropping out of the race. But at 81 years old, it seems to blend in with all the other pills.
In other news from the convention, Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota praised Governor Tim Walz and discussed his favorite snacks, including Nutter Butters, cheese curds, and Diet Dew. Sounds crazy, right? Well, in Minnesota, that’s apparently breakfast. Forget Biden, is Tim Walz going to make it another four years? Trump must have been watching and thinking, “Damn, we have a lot more in common than I thought. Nutter Butters and cheese curds.”
Moving on to the second night of the convention, the theme was “A bold vision for America’s future.” One of the highlights of the evening was Michelle Obama‘s speech, which received several huge ovations. At first, Kamala Harris was cheering her on, but after a while, she seemed to say, “Okay, that’s enough.” Other notable speakers included former President Obama and Michelle Obama, as well as Kamala Harris‘s husband, Doug Emhoff.
The Tonight Show promoted the evening with enthusiasm, emphasizing the star power of the Obamas and Doug Emhoff. It was a night filled with excitement and anticipation.
Switching gears, Zoom announced that it now allows up to 1 million people in a meeting at once. The image of a million people speaking at once is overwhelming, but it does save us from the alternative of dealing with a million-person email.
As for the show itself, it was packed with talent. Adam Sandler, the comedic genius behind countless hit movies and stand-up specials, graced the stage. He talked about his new stand-up comedy special, “Adam Sandler: Love You,” which premiered globally on Netflix. With every project, Sandler hits home runs, making him one of the funniest guys on the planet.
Also appearing on the show was will.i.am, the Grammy-winning artist and founder of “RAiDiO.FYI.” His app is available for free on the FYI app, offering a unique audio experience to his fans.
Liz Moore, the author of the Fallon Summer Reads book, “The God of the Woods,” made an appearance as well. It’s always exciting to hear about the latest great reads.
Lastly, the show featured stand-up comedy from Julian McCullough, one of Jimmy Fallon‘s favorites. McCullough’s humor is always a crowd-pleaser and guaranteed to leave the audience laughing.
Wrapping up the highlights of the night, let’s not forget about President Biden‘s moving speech at the Democratic National Convention. It was so well-received that former President Obama reached out to him for advice before his own speech. In a humorous skit shown on The Tonight Show, the two friends exchanged banter and jokes, proving their strong bond.
With such an entertaining lineup and memorable moments, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon continues to be a must-watch talk show. From political highlights to hilarious comedy acts, Fallon never fails to deliver a lively and engaging show.
