On a recent episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, actress Lacey Chabert made an appearance to talk about the possibility of a Mean Girls sequel and her experience reuniting with her former co-stars. The talk show host mentioned a previous interview where they discussed the potential sequel, and it turns out that Chabert and her co-stars did actually get together for a commercial spot. The actress expressed her joy at stepping back into Gretchen’s shoes and working with Amanda Seyfried and Lindsay Lohan again.

Chabert revealed that it has been 20 years since the release of Mean Girls, even though she is only 23 years old. The actress started acting at a young age, moving to New York with her family when she was just seven years old. Now, as a mother herself, she feels a full-circle connection to her acting career. Chabert shared a fun anecdote from her time on Broadway, where she played Young Cosette in Les Miserables and even understudied the role of Gavroche. On her 10th birthday, she unexpectedly went on stage as Gavroche when both of the boys were unable to perform.

Jimmy Fallon expressed his admiration for Chabert’s work, revealing that he has seen almost all of her movies. He particularly mentioned her extensive filmography with Hallmark, with Chabert having just finished her 41st movie for the network. The actress laughed and shared details about her latest project for Netflix called Hot Frosty. In the movie, someone creates a snowman that comes to life after a magical scarf is placed around it. Chabert described her character as a widow who finds the courage to open her heart again with the help of the snowman. She also humorously mentioned how the snowman is depicted as a shirtless, hunky dude, causing her to be very comfortable in her winter coats during filming.

Chabert expressed her love for holiday movies and revealed that The Christmas Quest, airing on Hallmark on December 1st, was filmed entirely in Iceland. Although holiday films are mostly shot during the summer, the actress enjoys the process of bringing the holiday magic to life. She emphasized that making these movies brings back cherished childhood memories and allows her to create new traditions with her own daughter. Chabert hopes that these films bring smiles to people’s faces as they watch them in their living rooms.

To give viewers a taste of Hot Frosty, Fallon shared a clip from the movie where Chabert’s character interacts with the snowman, played by Luke Grimes. The scene revealed a funny surprise involving another Mean Girls cast member, Lindsay Lohan. The audience responded with laughter and applause.

Fans can catch Lacey Chabert in Hot Frosty, available on Netflix starting tomorrow.
