The conversation took a comedic turn when Madison revealed that the boat captain had gotten drunk, leaving her in charge of steering the boat.
During the interview, Fallon asked Madison about her time filming in New York for her latest project. Madison explained that she and her co-stars decided to celebrate her co-star’s 21st birthday with a boat ride to see the Statue of Liberty. Little did she know, she was in for quite the adventure.
Expecting a luxurious yacht, Madison was surprised to find that their mode of transportation was more of a raft with a makeshift motor attached to a long stick. The boat owner, Captain Dave, who actually lived on the boat, handed Madison the reins and instructed her to steer the boat.
As if the situation couldn’t get any crazier, Madison discovered that the captain had been drinking sake, which he kept hidden in an orange juice carton under the boat. Determined to safely reach their destination, Madison took the responsibility seriously, despite being the only sober person on the boat.
Upon successfully reaching their destination, Madison reflected on the unforgettable experience. However, during a later conversation with a friend who had been on the boat, she discovered that the boat had sunk soon after their trip.
While Captain Dave was unharmed as he was not on the boat during the incident, Madison couldn’t help but feel grateful that they had made it back safely. Fallon, concerned for Madison’s well-being, jokingly offered to find her a better captain for her next boating adventure.
In addition to the entertaining boat escapade, Madison also discussed her critically acclaimed performance in her latest film, “Anora.” She shared that she learned Russian and mastered the art of dancing like a stripper for the role, among other challenging tasks.
