During a recent episode of The Graham Norton Show, Ryan Gosling opened up about his early dancing career and revealed that he doesn’t want to watch his old dancing videos. Gosling, along with fellow guests Sienna Miller and Emma Stone, took a trip down memory lane as they discussed their early work in the entertainment industry.

Gosling, known for his roles in movies like La La Land, reminisced about his time in a dance troupe during his younger years. He mentioned that young dancers can be quite vicious, and his experience in the industry made him realize that it’s a Cutthroat business.

The Canadian heartthrob explained that he made it to the finals of a Canadian Star Search competition, where his main competition were tap-dancing twins who were dancing to Phil Collins’ “Two Hearts.” Gosling added, “They were the ones to beat.”

Before his performance, Gosling caught the twins mimicking the creepy twins from The Shining, which fueled his determination to win. With a winning dance number to CNC Music Factory’s “Everybody Dance Now,” Gosling managed to shimmy his way to victory and proudly took home a tiny trophy.

Interestingly, Gosling was the only male member of the dance troupe, which was a part of the Elite Dance Studio. He revealed that he danced for free because his presence in the group increased their chances of winning competitions. “If you had a guy, you would win,” he said.

Although Gosling seemed a bit embarrassed while watching the video of his performance, he couldn’t help but joke about his costume choice. Sporting purple and silver hammer pants, he commented, “I thought I have a vision for this number.”

During the discussion, Stone and Miller also shared their early work experiences. Stone showed a photo of herself dressed as a princess in a performance of “The Princess and the Pea,” while Miller revealed some funny prosthetics she wore during a childhood acting role.
