He had set up a small wooden white gazebo filled with his fiancee’s favorite flowers, peonies, along with candles and her preferred wine and caviar. The engagement ring was hidden amongst the flowers. The couple then walked up a hill to enjoy the breathtaking view of the river, where Brooklyn finally got down on one knee.
However, the proposal didn’t go exactly as planned. Brooklyn struggled to open the wine bottle due to nerves, but eventually poured Nicola a glass. He then expressed his love for her before opening the ring box and asking, “Will you marry me?” Nicola was so overwhelmed with emotion that she couldn’t answer right away, leaving Brooklyn anxiously waiting for a response.
Thankfully, after a few tearful minutes, Nicola said yes, and the couple is now eagerly looking forward to their wedding in a couple of months. Brooklyn affectionately described how much he enjoys surprising Nicola with romantic gestures like this, making their relationship extra special.
The conversation on The Late Late Show also touched on other topics, such as Brooklyn’s growing collection of tattoos. With 84 tattoos and counting, Brooklyn undoubtedly has more ink than his famous father. He even shared that he recently got an eye tattoo of his fiancee on the back of his neck, as a unique way to declare his love for her.

Patrick talked about his directorial debut in the upcoming horror film Insidious 5, expressing excitement about the project and his plans to bring an old-timey directing style to the set.
