The Late Late Show with James Corden returned after a six week summer vacation, and the host James Corden and Pete were still mentally in Margaritaville. In the latest episode, The Late Late Show featured the new Champion of the kids division of the USA Mullet Championship, Emmett Bailey from Wisconsin. Corden admired the kids’ mullets and even joked about needing glasses or wrap-around shades as a requirement to sport a true mullet. Corden admitted that he had no idea if he could pull off a mullet himself, but he expressed interest in trying it after his upcoming wedding. He even suggested wearing a wigged hairpiece at the wedding, so the first thing his fiance sees as she walks down the aisle is him with a mullet.
During the show, Corden and his guest Kevin Hart discussed their worst business investments. Kevin shared that the worst one he made was investing in his friends’ ventures, which ended up being a string of bankruptcies. One of his friends had even created headphones that transformed into speakers, but Kevin found it to be the worst invention he had ever seen.
In another segment, Corden introduced a boat-shaped like Theodore Tugboat, a character from Thomas the Tank Engine. He humorously remarked that the boat looked like it knew people would have sex inside it.
The show also featured Kristen Bell, who openly talked about using hemorrhoid cream. She explained that after having a baby, various health issues could arise, and she felt no shame in discussing it. The conversation continued with other guests, including Meghan Trainor, chiming in about their own experiences and struggles.
Regina Hall tested Sterling K. Brown‘s knowledge by asking him trivia questions. Despite struggling to recall some details, the lighthearted banter entertained the audience and showed the camaraderie among the guests.
Towards the end of the episode, Corden surprised his staff with an ice cream celebration for his birthday. He even showcased a technology that allowed him to deliver different toppings to his colleagues using buttons. The staff members, including Louis, Nick, and others, eagerly received their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings.
The episode was filled with laughter, jokes, and fun moments, showcasing the unique charm and entertainment that The Late Late Show with James Corden always delivers.
