Enrique Iglesias made his first appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show and it was nothing short of entertaining. The chat show host wasted no time diving into the most exciting news – the newest addition to the Iglesias family. However, it’s not Enrique who’s expecting a baby, it’s his 86-year-old grandfather! Yes, you read that right. Julio, senior, is set to become a father again, and Enrique jokingly expressed his hope to be as fertile as his grandfather at that age.
But let’s not forget about Enrique’s iconic mole. The singer revealed that he had it removed, much to the chagrin of some fans. Apparently, there was some concern about it potentially being cancerous, so he made the decision to have it taken off. The process wasn’t without its bizarre moments, though. The doctor, mid-removal, jokingly asked if he should stop because his wife actually liked the mole. But it was too late, and Enrique is now mole-free.
Interestingly, there was actually an attempt to buy Enrique’s famous mole. A station from New York City reportedly offered him a whopping one million dollars for it. Ultimately, he declined the offer, and now regrets not keeping it as a memento.
In a hilarious twist, Enrique shared that his road manager also has a prominent mole, but on a different part of his body. They even considered removing that mole and selling it instead, but decided against it due to its hairy nature. It seems like it’s better for Enrique’s mole legacy to end with his own mole, not someone else’s hairy one.
On a more personal note, Ellen didn’t shy away from asking about Enrique’s love life. The singer confirmed that he is still with Anna Kournikova, although he tends to get a little embarrassed when asked about his personal life. But as Ellen pointed out, the mole is not personal, so at least they covered that fun fact.
All in all, Enrique Iglesias‘ first appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show was filled with laughter, unexpected twists, and the lighthearted banter the talk show is known for. If you want to catch more of Enrique, make sure to check out his latest album, aptly titled “Seven.”
