Randolph humorously described how Lopez was wearing a jacket adorned with real flowers and had to keep it chilled in a refrigerator to maintain freshness. They even used hummingbird nectar to keep the flowers flourishing. Randolph lightheartedly mentioned being equally careful not to crush any of the delicate petals.
Moving on to the topic of the Oscar nominations, Randolph revealed that she watched them from home with her team. She confessed to feeling nervous and not wanting to watch, but her colleagues insisted. Recalling the moment her name was announced, Randolph described it as a surreal experience, comparing it to scenes from movies such as “Field of Dreams.” She mentioned how her family, who reside in Philadelphia, was excited and already preparing for the Oscars.
Speaking of excitement, Randolph shared her recent encounter with Bradley Cooper. She had been manifesting a meeting with him for a while, as he was someone she had wanted to meet. Finally, at the National Board of Review in New York, she saw Cooper and turned to her publicist, declaring that today was the day they would meet. To her surprise, as she was talking to her publicist, Cooper tapped her on the shoulder and complimented her work. Randolph was overjoyed to connect with him and even made him aware of their shared Philly connection.
As the interview concluded, Randolph expressed her anticipation of introducing Cooper to her parents. She humorously shared a slow-motion moment at the Oscars, where everyone will recognize her face and know what’s happening.
