The Ellen Degeneres Show never fails to bring interesting and captivating segments to its viewers, and a recent episode was no exception. In a recent chat show episode, Ellen welcomed the talented brothers from the National Geographic channel‘s “Be the Creature,” Chris and Martin Kratt. But what stole the show that day wasn’t their charismatic presence, it was the amazing animals they brought with them.
One of the creatures featured on the show was none other than an armadillo. With its unique armor-like skin and adorable appearance, the armadillo had the audience enraptured. The Kratt brothers explained that most armadillos have that characteristic armor on their bodies, but some species also have a bit of hair. Surprisingly, the hair is just for looks, adding a little something extra to their appearance.
But the armadillo wasn’t the only star of the show. Next up was a lynx, a magnificent big cat with striking features. The Kratt brothers educated the crowd on the lynx’s enormous paws, which help them navigate through snowy landscapes. This particular lynx was just two years old, as part of a program that visits schools to inspire kids with encounters with these majestic creatures.
Just when you thought the excitement couldn’t be topped, out came a stunning ground hornbill. These birds have a unique behavior, using their vantage point to keep an eye out for predators while they stroll around the African plains. The hornbill’s blue throat will eventually turn red, expanding like a balloon, creating an awe-inspiring spectacle.
And of course, no Ellen show would be complete without a surprise appearance from a zebra. The Kratt brothers brought out a zebra named Barcode, showcasing the animal’s striking black and white stripes. These stripes have a purpose – they confuse predators, making it difficult for lions to single out one zebra from the herd. Each zebra’s stripe pattern is as unique as a fingerprint, an incredible fact that fascinated the audience.
As always, the Kratt brothers shared their adventures and knowledge with enthusiasm, encouraging viewers to tune in to their show, Be the Creature, on the National Geographic channel. From living with chimpanzees in the rainforest to witnessing orcas beaching themselves in Patagonia, they have experienced the wonders of the animal kingdom firsthand.
The Ellen Degeneres Show continues to entertain and educate audiences with its wonderful lineup of guests and exciting segments. On this particular episode, animals took center stage, captivating the crowd with their beauty and unique features. Thanks to the Kratt brothers, we were able to learn more about these incredible creatures and gain a deeper appreciation for the wonders of the natural world.
