The reason behind this surprise? Kyle had sent a tape to the show explaining that his mom’s bathroom was in desperate need of a makeover. According to Kyle, he had been brushing his teeth in the kitchen sink because his mom’s bathroom was not functional. As a result, Ellen and Houston decided to step in and transform the space.
This was Houston‘s first experience renovating an entire bathroom, and she admitted that she was not a professional. However, that did not stop her from giving it her all and creating a stunning end result. The team wanted to make sure that Kyle’s mom would have a beautiful bathroom to enjoy once they were finished with their work.
The renovation process took place while Kyle enjoyed a day of relaxation. Houston enlisted Kyle as her little helper, and the duo got to work transforming the old bathroom into a beautiful space. The new bathroom featured exquisite crown molding, stylish shutters, and a perfectly placed bathtub. As soon as the renovation was complete, they called Kyle’s mom in to see her stunning new bathroom. She was absolutely thrilled with the results, and Kyle couldn’t hide his excitement either.
During the show, Ellen invited Kyle and his mom to join her on stage. Ellen asked Kyle’s mom, Carissa, why the bathroom had been in such bad shape, and she explained that she had attempted to tackle the project herself, which ultimately turned into a disaster. Luckily, Ellen and Houston were able to come to the rescue and give Carissa the bathroom she deserved.
To show their gratitude to Kyle for his help during the renovation, Ellen and Houston surprised him with a special gift. They presented him with a cool chopper from Fat Cycles. Kyle was overjoyed with his new gift, and Ellen expressed her appreciation for his assistance.
The episode ended with Ellen thanking the team at Lysol for their help with the renovation. The Robertson family, including Carissa and Kyle, left the show with a brand new bathroom and memories they will cherish forever.
