During a recent episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden, Chrissy Teigen opened up about her new show, her mom’s role on set, and her own experience playing a lawyer on a hit series. Teigen’s new show, “Chrissy’s Tour,” is set to premiere on the Roku channel this Friday, featuring real cases and real people.
Teigen revealed that she grew up watching court shows and was a big fan of the O.J. Simpson trial. She mentioned that her mom didn’t have her watching kids’ shows like Octonauts, but instead introduced her to court TV. It seems that watching all those court shows paid off, as Teigen now finds herself as a TV judge.
On her new show, Teigen’s mom plays the bailiff, and according to Teigen, she has no idea what she’s doing. However, that doesn’t seem to dampen her mom’s enthusiasm for being on camera. Teigen described her mom as a diva who loves taking selfies all day and thrives on the attention she receives.
Teigen also shared her experience playing a lawyer on the show Damages for five seasons. Although she portrayed a lawyer, Teigen clarified that she is not a real lawyer and couldn’t offer any legal tips. She jokingly admitted that she would sometimes feel bad for the people on her show and try to offer them perks like tickets to Comic-Con, only to find out that it wasn’t legally allowed.
Despite not being a lawyer, Teigen expressed her mediation skills when it comes to dealing with her boys. She humorously mentioned that she could mediate by essentially saying, “I’ll kill you if you don’t do what I say.” While her approach may not fit the legal definition of mediation, it showcases Teigen’s lighthearted and witty take on the legal profession.
Corden chimed in, stating that people often underestimate the difficulty of creating courtroom shows. He shared a bit they previously filmed called “Kids Court,” which involved real disputes and a jury of kids. The segment turned out to be their most expensive shoot and has never been aired due to its perceived quality.
The conversation took an unexpected turn when guest Rose Byrne asked about the possibility of an alien intervention in human evolution. Teigen joined in, saying that there’s no doubt aliens have infiltrated our ecosystem, showing her playful and adventurous side.
Overall, Teigen’s appearance on The Late Late Show was filled with humor and candid moments, making for an entertaining episode. Stay tuned for more exciting guests and hilarious stand-up comedy on upcoming episodes.
