Blake Lively Paid The Price For Doing Her Own Stunts | Letterman

In a recent appearance on the popular talk show, David Letterman, actress Blake Lively revealed that she paid a high price for doing her own stunts. Lively, known for her roles in Gossip Girl and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, shared the story of her unfortunate accident while filming in Greece.

Lively, who was in Greece shooting the sequel to The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, described the fun she had with her co-stars during their downtime. Exploring the beautiful country, the cast ended up on rooftops, singing Aladdin songs and enjoying the Mediterranean Sea view. However, the fun took a turn when Lively crashed a moped into a stone wall.

Despite the beauty of Greece, Lively discovered that even ancient antiquities can cause injury. Thankfully, she had a team of older Greek men to carry her up the stairs during her recovery, making light of the situation.

The accident resulted in Lively breaking her leg and ankle, causing some challenges during filming. However, she persevered and found creative ways to incorporate her injuries into her character. Hopping instead of walking, Lively's performance may have had a different energy, but it added a unique touch to the film.

During her interview with Letterman, Lively also discussed her role as the mysterious Gossip Girl on the hit show of the same name. Although the identity of Gossip Girl is a closely guarded secret, Lively hinted that her character, Chuck, might be a prime suspect. She also addressed criticism that the show is a bad influence on young people, emphasizing that it is not her responsibility how viewers interpret the show.

While new episodes of Gossip Girl are currently on hold due to the work stoppage, fans can catch a special edition of the show called "Gossip Girl Revealed." This series features all 12 episodes with additional footage, deleted scenes, outtakes, and interviews with the cast.

Although Lively's accident was unfortunate, it didn't dampen her enthusiasm for her work. With new episodes of Gossip Girl expected in the spring, fans can look forward to more captivating moments from the talented actress.
