During a recent appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, comedian Fortune Feimster shared an incredible story about her interaction with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Feimster, who is currently on a nationwide tour called “Live Laugh Love,” talked about how Schwarzenegger surprised her by FaceTiming her when she least expected it.

Feimster revealed that she and Schwarzenegger have gotten to know each other over the past year and a half while working together. However, what surprises Feimster the most is Schwarzenegger’s lack of a phone. Instead of a regular phone, Schwarzenegger relies on a bat signal of sorts to communicate. Feimster expressed her amazement at how he simply appears on her computer screen via FaceTime whenever he wants to chat.

The reason Feimster was so in awe of Schwarzenegger’s FaceTime call was because her father had recently undergone open-heart surgery and was in the hospital. Feimster’s father, who only has a flip phone, couldn’t easily communicate with Schwarzenegger. Recognizing the situation’s difficulty, Feimster reached out to Schwarzenegger, who was at Oktoberfest in Germany at the time, and asked if he could motivate her father.

True to his caring nature, Schwarzenegger took time out of his schedule to FaceTime with Feimster’s dad. Despite primarily talking to bodybuilders, Schwarzenegger gave Feimster’s dad motivation and encouragement to recover from surgery. Feimster’s dad was moved by Schwarzenegger’s call and expressed his desire for a milkshake during their conversation.

Feimster expressed her gratitude for Schwarzenegger’s gesture and shared the wonderful news that her father left the hospital that day after more than a month of being there. It’s heartwarming to see celebrities going out of their way to connect with fans and offer support during challenging times.

On a different note, Feimster and her fellow comedian friends Tig Notaro and Mae Martin started a podcast called “Handsome” this summer. The idea for the podcast came from Notaro, whom Feimster describes as the “queen of podcast.” Together, they explore various topics, answer listeners’ questions, and have fun making each other laugh.

Feimster’s podcasting experience isn’t entirely new, as she previously hosted her own podcast and even had a radio show on SiriusXM. Being on the morning announcements during her high school days at South Point High School in North Carolina, Feimster learned how to captivate an audience with her unique accent and slow, squinty-eyed delivery. She also impressed everyone with her vibrant personality as she announced the daily menu, which included Salisbury steak, cornbread, biscuits, and carrot coins (a veggie option). And let’s not forget the classic 90s touch – milk!

Fortune Feimster continues to make waves in the entertainment industry through her comedy and captivating storytelling. From her tour to her podcasting endeavors, Feimster remains dedicated to making people laugh and bringing joy to their lives. With surprise FaceTime calls from Arnold Schwarzenegger and hilarious anecdotes from her high school days, Feimster’s journey is one worth following.
