Santos, not known for being as slick as Donald Trump, has found a new career on Cameo, where he claims to have made more money in seven days than he did in Congress for a year. Kimmel revealed that he had been buying Santos’ videos, and now Santos is demanding a hefty sum from him. It would be quite the spectacle if Kimmel were to get sued by Santos for fraud.
But that wasn’t the only interesting news on the show. Kimmel also discussed other trending topics, from the richest contract in the history of sports signed by baseball MVP Jo Otani, to President Biden‘s White House Hanukkah party where he mistakenly blew out the menorah candles thinking it was a birthday cake.
In addition, Kimmel mentioned the legal troubles of Hunter Biden, who has been charged with nine crimes, including tax evasion and filing false or fraudulent returns. The White House has reiterated that President Biden will not pardon his son if he is convicted. However, Kimmel couldn’t resist making a joke about not dressing Hunter up as a turkey next Thanksgiving and pardoning him then.
But it wouldn’t be a Jimmy Kimmel show without some mention of former President Donald Trump. Trump, who wants to pardon himself, ignored his lawyer’s advice and agreed to testify at his $250 million fraud trial. Kimmel jokingly mentioned that it would be a sight to see if he were to take the stand. However, on this particular day, Trump decided not to testify, much to the disappointment of Kimmel.
The show also featured some heartwarming moments, as Kimmel read out funny video requests he had sent to Santos through Cameo. He asked Santos to congratulate his legally blind niece on passing her driving test and to wish her a speedy recovery after a recent car accident. Kimmel also had Santos send a message to an imaginary friend named Heath who had just come out as a furry.
To add to the holiday spirit, Kimmel had the Langley family, who had yet to take a holiday photo, come on stage. They were joined by an elf, who had miraculously appeared in a Santa costume, to take a family photo. But Kimmel felt that something was missing and realized it was Uncle George. George Clooney made a surprise appearance, adding to the festive atmosphere and making it a memorable evening for the Langley family.
