Ebon Moss-Bachrach was the recent guest on the popular talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and he certainly brought the entertainment factor. The two-time Emmy winner and star of the show “The Bear” on Hulu was welcomed with thunderous applause as he took the stage.
During the interview, Moss-Bachrach discussed his admiration for Tina Turner and even mentioned a YouTube video where Turner appeared on the share show. He jokingly pointed out that Turner’s performance didn’t match her claim of feeling intimidated. Moss-Bachrach, who is also a talented musician, shared that he played the guitar on the show Girls and had learned to play the instrument for a play years before.
As conversation shifted to his childhood, Moss-Bachrach revealed that he was once part of a jazz band. Although he wasn’t a member of the school band, he proudly mentioned his involvement in the jazz band and their first gig, which happened to be a 5k fundraiser. The band was named the “Third Mile Jazz Quintet,” and their performance aimed to inspire runners to keep going, adding a touch of humor to their act.
But the highlight of the interview came when the topic switched to Moss-Bachrach’s appearance in a cookbook called “Sweeten Up” by Alison Roman. Surprisingly, Moss-Bachrach happened to be featured in a photograph, wearing a skimpy swimsuit while holding an old-fashioned strawberry cake. The hilarious swim trunks, which looked like they were painted on his body, were a hit among the audience, provoking laughter from everyone.
For Moss-Bachrach, the swim trunks were a result of his desire to make his friend Jenny Connor, who also happened to be the creator of Girls, laugh. Although he couldn’t reveal much, he did mention his camaraderie with co-star Robert Downey Jr. and hinted at a surprising tag scene involving Downey Jr. in the movie. Moss-Bachrach also discussed his experience wearing a motion capture suit for his role as Ben Grim, aka The Thing, in the film.
