The Late Show with Stephen Colbert never fails to bring us the most entertaining and thought-provoking moments on television. In a recent episode, host Stephen Colbert discussed the growing tension between MAGA supporters and pop star Taylor Swift. It seems that the MAGA mob is determined to wage a holy war against Taylor Swift, who is rumored to be sought after for an endorsement by Joe Biden.

Colbert hilariously pointed out the absurdity of Trump and his allies being so concerned about a pop star’s endorsement. He sarcastically questioned whether it was beneath the dignity of the office for Joe Biden to seek Taylor Swift‘s support. After all, Taylor Swift‘s influence can’t be overlooked. Just last year, a single Instagram post from her resulted in an impressive 35,000 new voter registrations.

But Trump seems to be jealous of Taylor Swift‘s popularity. He has gone so far as to claim that he has more committed fans than she does. Colbert couldn’t help but mockingly imagine Trump screaming out the bridge to Taylor Swift‘s hit song “Cruel Summer” during a concert. Let’s face it, Trump’s attempts to compare himself to Taylor Swift are simply ridiculous.

Trump’s supporters are now taking their holy war against Taylor Swift to the right-wing Newsmax platform. They accuse Swift’s fans, affectionately known as “Swifters,” of worshipping her as an idol. Colbert humorously reminded everyone that the real idols are the ones mentioned in the Bible, and urged Trump’s TV goons to keep Taylor Swift‘s name out of their mouths.

In the midst of all this political drama, another beloved figure has captured our attention. Elmo from Sesame Street, innocently reaching out to his followers on Twitter, inadvertently stumbled into the abyss of the internet. Elmo‘s simple question of how everyone is doing turned into a depressing outpouring of personal struggles and existential crises. Poor Elmo had no idea what he was getting himself into!

Lastly, Colbert couldn’t resist mentioning the group known as “God’s Army,” who are currently on a road trip from Virginia to Texas for some vigilante border justice. However, things didn’t go as planned for this self-proclaimed army. With a turnout of only 20 vehicles instead of the promised 40,000, their convoy resembled more of a funeral procession than a force to be reckoned with.

As we eagerly await future episodes of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, it’s clear that the entertainment value of this chat show remains unbeatable. Whether it’s political feuds, internet mishaps, or bizarre road trips, Stephen Colbert never fails to keep us entertained. Tune in for more laughs and insights on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
